Winston Churchill said, “The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.” I think about that quote often when I’m recording calories.  I can forget to add something or underestimate the amount, but when I step on the scales, there it is, the truth.

Churchill also said, “A lie gets half way around the world before the truth has a chance to get it’s pants on.”  Because of mass media and social media, that’s even more true today than when Churchill said it.

“Once in a while you will stumble upon the truth but most of us manage to pick ourselves up and hurry along as if nothing had happened,” another Churchill quote.  The truth has no agenda but we do. We all do.  We just can’t help ourselves. It’s impossible to even talk about it without agendas entering the picture.  We can’t trust the news media to give us the objective truth.  We now have to choose which slant slant we want to get our information from.

The only way we can possibly find truth in a world full of so much misinformation and agendas is to stay tuned with the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit reacts in us much like the resonance of music. When there’s a frequency created, other frequencies that are tuned to that frequency also react and vibrate.  God knows the truth stripped of all agendas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kzeybpDIYU

By staying in tune with the Holy Spirit and maintaining good spiritual health, we gain  heightened perception and heightened discernment.
